Like Prozac on a plate, chicken contains high levels of B12, which has a calming effect on the body. It’s one of the most versatile and satisfying meats, so enjoy it in any number of recipes.

We’ve always known chocolate must be good for us, that has to be tastes so good, right? Well the truth is that dark chocolate can indeed lift your mood, since it contains magnesium, known to relieve anxiety and tryptophan, which can alleviate depression.

Not only are avocadoes great for your hair, skin and nails (and if we look good, we feel great, don’t we?), it also contains serotonin, known to dramatically lift spirits.

4. Eggs

How do you like your eggs in the morning? With a big serving of happiness, perhaps? Eggs contain a decent amount of the nutrient choline, which has been proven to assist in a number of vital functions, including membrane function and neurotransmission.
